I was in Helsinki Friday the 16th (January, 2015) for a photo-shoot. The shoot was for a big 2015 campaign here in Finland (details will be posted later on). At the end of the shoot my dear husband Henning said some words to me that brought tears to my eyes. I would like to share these words with you.
In the blogs (#55 & 56), I started with a short version of a diary that my mother kept of the day of my stroke and the following days. This is the third and last part.

Everyone was hoping for a miracle. At Käpylä, it became clear to us all that there would be no miracle. However, many things did happen there. Everything possible was done for Kati’s rehabilitation and communication skills, and she was treated like a princess.
In the last blog (#55), I started with a short version of a diary that my mother kept of the day of my stroke and the following days. This is the second part.

Mother’s diary part 1
Twenty years of being paralyzed. January the 10th 1995 was the day on which I moved for the last time. Little did I know that evening when I walked into that hospital that they would be the last steps I would take. I remember feeling extremely tired and weak, and saying to my mom; “I just don’t have the energy anymore”. Those were the last words I spoke twenty years ago on the night of Jan. 10th and early hours of Jan. 11th.
